Has anyone read a book that they absolutely love then you here they are making a movie about it? You are all fired up to go see the movie with your friends. When you get in the theater and half way through the movie you find out like the best part of the book was cut out. That just bugs the crap out of me when they do that to good books. The book is ruined for me after that happens or if I have to I never watch the movie ever again. I know of one good example of this happening the book Queen of the Dammed was a great book. I watched the movie after I read the book and I have not watched the movie since then. The movie did not even follow the story in the slightest. They totally messed up on it. Another book that was good was love hina. After the series came out and I watched the first episode it was the worst thing that I had seen since the queen of the dammed movie. They should just make the movie just like the story was written. Who would really care if the were very long, they would be very good movies then.

since i dont really enjoy reading i cant relate to you how a movie ruins a good book but like the majority of society people tend not to read and just watch a movie i could honestly care less if it is not the same as the book or even relevent to the book because that is all opinion and as long as the movie is entertaining im not complaining…

I totally agree, it’s completely upsetting when you read a fantastic book and the movie is just a film with the same title. After I read Twilight I was so excited to see the movie because the book was so good, but I was just let down. The movie wasn’t awful but important details from the novel were not included. The point of making a movie of a book is to create a visual of great writing but all to often the movie goes wrong. This is very frustrating.

I completely agree with you Schyler; almost every movie is modified in some way so I does not follow the book. It usually just has to do with time issues, but the producers should realize what they are doing to the fans when they cut out certain points. I believe that book movies should be co-directed by the actual authors of the books. If this was done, then the person who actually wrote the book could tell the producer what he or she was doing right or wrong.
