Prom is just around the corner. With it comes the excitement and stress. There are so many things to worry about. For girls, they have to pick out a dress, how to do their hair and makeup, the shoes. Everything has to be done from head to toe. Most importantly who are they going to take to prom? It has to be somebody special and fun so that both can enjoy the event. This day will be remembered for a very long time. Before, all of this can take place though one needs money. This whole day revolves around money. A dress can cost up to $500 dollars. For guys though it is easy all they do is rent a suit, and take it back the following day. For girls though spending a large amount of money for a dress that will only be worn once, and cannot be returned is frustrating, to think of. Besides the dress, there is also the transportation. I do not think that anybody wants mom or dad to drive them to Prom. So what is an option, a limousine or a party bus. It’s fun because you get to be with friends and can get to your destination in style. Many argue that prom is just a bunch of money being put to waste, but in any case it may be the last thing one gets to do with their friends before going off to college. So what do you think? Is Prom worth it? Or would you rather go do something else with all that money?

In a way i will have to agree with you Ana, Prom is expensive and incredibly stressfull (to some people). I do understand that it is a night of memoriablia and will be filled with charished moments but i would rather spend the money on something else..more personal. Such things like spending the day at San Diego at the Zoo or Sea World and then having a romantic dinner somewhere near the beach. Or going hiking somewhere I havent been yet and then picnic it at our destination. Prom is just another dance to attend, another event to hang out with friends, but it is also another activity that i think could be skipped and in its place, do something more valueable to me.
