In my opinion, comedians are great for entertainment. Making people laugh is pure talent and everyone enjoys a good joke. Some comedians are better or more talented than others and even though it may sound kind of sexist, the guys just seem to be funnier. I don’t know what it is about male comedians but they just seem better than girls at being stand up comics. Maybe it’s because guys can be cruder in their humor but people don’t care as much because they are guys. When females tell the same kind of jokes, it seems not funny because it is not necessarily as true or believable when they explain things. Another reason why guy comedians seem to be funnier is because they can make more sound effects or imitations. Impersonations of people or objects or anything is really funny and I don’t know too many, if any, girl comedians that can pull them off. Something else is storytelling. I’m not sure if guy’s lives are any more humorous than women’s but they sure describe them to be. When girls tell “funny” stories, they focus too much on just telling their story and don’t try to dress it up in humor as much as guys do. One of my favorite comedians is Gabriel Iglesias. I find him to be extremely hilarious and if you don’t know who he is, you should find one of his videos online and watch one. I guarantee he will make you laugh, and if he doesn’t then you are a very boring person.
