i am expecting guests from the phillioines. They are friends of my husband linked via work. He may or may not be bringing his wife? Have you any tips suggestions rules or ideas about what activities to put on or food or rules or anything specific. I am aware the religion is mostly catholic - would it be rude to point out or list churches in area or would that be helpful? how about home cooking? dress? general good manners (have read on other sites to arrive later than stated for things and ask numerous times for people to eat or sit down to eat?) really i just dont want to upset anyone but more importantly i would love them to really enjoy their stay.

Illegals have no right to be here, no right to march, and no right to LIVE in THIS country. Some people enjoy bringing up comments such as "The Pilgrims were the real first immigrants and they were from Europe. So in reality dont we all come from immigrants.People seem to think that Mexicans or Hispanics are the only people migrating here but all sorts of races are coming for a better shot at life." While the relevance of a few million illegals wading across the Rio Grande into an already overpopulated southwest on a continuous basis for the past fifty years which violates the borders and laws of that overpopulated nation is completely relevant to a few hundred Europeans crossing a few thousand miles of water to the eastern coast, which had no official borders or laws and far less inhabitants than the American Southwest, over 250 years ago is accurate and a good analogy to be using when dealing with modern day issues, you are still missing the point of the Illegal immigrants from Mexico have been told and threatened not to come. These criminals have the audacity to break into my home, drain the money that my parents have put into social security, (and if anyone starts a social security issue blog it will be amazing to see if anyone knows ANYTHING about social security) and then claim that I am treating them unfairly and they have as much a right to be here as I do? Illegals and pro-amnesty advocates have one glaring chink in their otherwise impervious argument of all Americans being immigrants. The American Government admitted that we were wrong for the crimes committed against the Indians, and have made efforts to make amends, Illegal immigrants (with this argument) admit that they are wrong, that they know it, but that two wrongs will make a right and somehow an overpopulated, economically ravaged, and unbalanced United States will somehow improve the quality of life. How dare illegals call me selfish for standing up for my rights? YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS! How selfish is it to ignore the damage that your free loading does to this nation, just so YOU can improve your quality of life. Instead of marching and rioting on foreign soil, riot and march in Mexico City to try and fix the problem instead of spreading it.

IN FIFTY YEARS, AT THE RATE WE ARE GOING NOW, THE UNITED STATES WILL BE ECONOMICLY EQUAL TO MEXICO!

Do the math for yourself, or get your computer to do it for you.

Good point, good point. I take it that the entire basis of your argument, George, is that all of our United States soldiers should be off fighting foriegn wars. We should avenge the deaths of our soldiers who have been killed in suicide bombings by sending more soldiers into the same exact conditions that killed their brothers. About America getting into war to improve how other countries see us? That's another good point, seeing how well that's going in Iraq. I mean, now that other nations know that we are willing to go to war with a nation based on "reasonable evidence" of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Not to mention how we completely ignored the U.N.'s thoughts about going to war in the first place.

THREE REASONS WHY MOST AMERICANS SHOULDN'T TALK ABOUT THE IRAQ WAR.

1. Consider the fact that everything that we see on the news, in the newspaper, or hear on the radio is regulated and controlled by the government. The government knows what the truth is before the press even knows the truth exists. The reporters in Iraq are being watched very closely, and their reports even more closely. If you believe everything the government wants you to, then you're doing exactly that. In regards to the private media, just look what they did with "Tell Your Children" in 1936. Granted, that was a long time ago, since then the media has gotten far more skilled at making believable lies.

2. Most American Citizens (and even more illegals) don't know how to spell properly without a computer, and even more citizens have no real knowledge about the global economy. The common belief that the price of oil has been skyrocketing due to the war in the middle East is not accurate. Oil prices are increasing because oil companies want them to. We import a little less than thirty percent of our oil from the Middle East, and most of it from areas that are not currently in conflict. And about that "Oil Lake" George? Third world countries have far less need and use of oil than large nations, just from the standpoint that us Americans need our SUVs and the like. Iran uses it's oil to convince nations like England, Canada, Japan, and China that it's a good idea to keep Iran arround. Money makes the world go round' and no citizen without SOME understanding of the global economy.

3. A GOOD NUMBER OF AMERICANS ARE IDIOTS! Instead of bothering to find out any real information about what's going on in the world today beyond what they are told by the government and media most are content to sit back and let other people decide the course of this nation (although some people living in this country really have no right to decide, like illegals). It's not just the lack of knowledge in America, which is what I said in the second reason, but the fact that most simply don't care. How has the war in Iraq truly affected you? Unless you have a relative in active duty, which I am sure that some of you do, I doubt you give the Iraq war any real thought at all, except when you get a chance to complain about it, and then I get a chance to complain about that.

Good article - but as long as this is a school project, please learn when to use "it's" (with apostrophe) and "its" (without).

It's = it is, like "It's all good"
Its = indicates possession, like "Music at Its Greatest"

Keep on writin'.

it is irans fault. if they dont deny it, then its obviously true. they are harboring many islamic extremist which are then sent to Iraq with the weapons. what if one of your family members were killed by an IED from Iran? then what would you say? we could do more than see and watch. i do aggree that the u.s is weary from war, but this is how you gain international support. you can't sit back and wait for them to strike first. look what happened with iran and britain. they are provoking a war. and why do the need nuclear power plant when they are sitting on an "oil lake"?

i think that all illegal immigrants should be treated as second class citizens. my grand-parents came here legaly and so should everyon else. its not that hard to get a green card and pay taxes. if you dont like the rules, then leave.

I think that teenagers have puppy love. Imitation love. But I think that there ARE exceptions. For example, I've lived by myself, raised children(not my own) and been out of school for years, but I'm only a fifteen-year-old freshman(I don't want to get into details). I have been in numerous relationships, and I have enough sense to know when I think someone is hot, when I like someone, and when I love someone. Just remember, love is about giving, not receiving.

It's astounding how certain individuals never pass up a chance to talk about themselves. While accomplishments can be admirable, and cause for praise, egotistical and conceited individuals will never truly fit in, especially ones with such a lack of common sense. Of course everyone knows that twirling is such a workable and useful skill after high school, except that it is not lucrative, or even remotely entertaining. At least it will provide good training in flexibility for a career as a stripper, or perhaps even a pornstar (if you get lucky!) Brabantio may have given you a few years of luxury, but I hope that you are given your just deserts. Desdemona made her own house be her gallows.

EVERYONE WITH A RESPONSE TO THIS ISSUE SEEMS TO BE IN AGREEMENT . THE HOMEWORK LOAD IS OUTRAGEOUS AND UNMANAGEABLE FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE LIVES OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL.WE HAVE EXTRA CURRICULARS AND VOLUNTERR AND WORK SO HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO MANGE ALL THIS . WE HAVE TO HAVE SOME EXTRAS FOR OUR COLLEGE APLICATIONS WHERE THIS IS SOMETIMES A DECIDING FACTOR BETWEEN APPLICATIONS. vOLUNTEER WORK IS TO HELP US BECOME WELL ROUNDED CITIZENS.
I feel really safe, all the crime problems in O.C. obviously have been solved for the police to go threw so much effort to set up a sting operation to catch guys hooking up. mind you he is not charged with touching a child beating his wife or children, but he must be fired for being gay and having a private life breaking some unjust law. Cause there are no single clubs with straight people hooking up outside of marriage to have sex? ....RIGHT?!!!!

Rap won't die, it will spur a musical revolution just like all of its predecessors. A genre of music cannot die, people will always keep it alive. And music cannot really affect society in a negative way, any expression no matter what it is benificial to society, and those who say that it has a negative effect are just insecure about themselves. Just because a type of music isn't appealing to you or you disagree with the lyrics or how one sings them, doesn't mean it has a negative effect on society. In the birth of rock 'n roll many consevatives thought it was evil and whites didn't play it at their radio stations, and DJs who did play it were fired or fined. We see this controversy again with the rock band Black Sabbath. Many people were engraged over its lyrics and hard guitar sound, but in the end it was accepted and many believe they have produce some of the best music of our time. Even with other bands such as Led Zeppelin were denounced and viewed as an anathama as people said they could hear satanic messeges if a record was turned backward, and dispite all of this they are one of the best rock bands in history. Contoversy always put things into the limelight and it maybe why artists try to shock the public and create interest in thier music. To call a type of music a negative contributer to society is just ridiculous, and it makes me swell up with anger at the very thought of it. Rap will not or ever be dead because variations of it will evolve from it.

Dieting ins't a bad idea if you go about it the correct way. when a person skips a meal their body begins to burn muscle and not fat, because fat is harder to burn more calories are released. this goes back to the hunter-gather days of humans so they could survive, and when most of the muscle is used up then the body begins to burn fat. The best way to do this is by walking for atleast thirty minutes a day, jogging and running builds cardiovascular strength and walking for less then a half hour isn't really beneficial. good article

i have a myspace and i love it! its a great way to keep relationships with old friends, i have been added by people i dont know but if you add them then its your fault if you are targeted! i cant believe all the stupid people that are hating on myspace because they let themselves be attacked by sexual predators
